There are several ways that women are not always given the recognition they deserve in sports. When in reality, they consistently astound us and bring honour to the nation. Additionally, it’s crucial to recognise them, celebrate them, and speak positively about their contributions. Aditi Ashok, a golfer who has managed to make history, will be the topic of our discussion today.
Aditi Ashok made history on May 16 when she entered the top 50 female golfers in the world rankings. She scored an average of 1.89 points during the LPGA Founders Cup, where she tied for fifth place, and she is now ranked 49th, up 15 spots.
Additionally, she had earned fourth place at the Tokyo Olympics with a remarkable performance. At the Rio Olympics, when she was only eighteen years old, she was also the youngest golfer. The now twenty-three-year-old set a new milestone at the LPGA Founders Cup in New Jersey by becoming the first Indian woman to crack the top 50 rankings.
