As the consecration of Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir approaches, an Ahmedabad-based group, the All India Dagbar Samaj, has contributed significantly by crafting a massive drum weighing 450 kilograms. This extraordinary drum is set to be transported to Ayodhya before the auspicious ceremony on January 22, 2024. Constructed with iron plates for enhanced durability, the drum is a symbolic and enduring offering to the revered temple. To facilitate its transportation, a robust 700 kg power steering chariot has been created. The Dagbar Samaj envisions the drum lasting for thousands of years, emphasizing its importance in the cultural and religious heritage. Currently, the drum is undergoing the intricate process of engraving copper plates on its outer surface, with plans to adorn it further with a layer of gold and silver. The completion of the chariot is expected by the coming week.
In the vibrant city of Ahmedabad, the drum has already become a local attraction, drawing crowds eager to witness this remarkable creation before it embarks on its journey to Ayodhya on January 8. The Dagbar Samaj has organized special events along the route to Ayodhya, intending to celebrate the drum’s significance and welcome its arrival at various locations. According to their current plan, the group aims to formally hand over the drum to the Ram Mandir on January 15, marking a momentous contribution to the culmination of the temple’s construction. This initiative showcases the collective efforts and devotion of individuals and organizations across India, who are coming together to contribute their unique offerings to this historic and culturally significant project. The drum, with its meticulous craftsmanship and symbolic significance, exemplifies the spirit of communal participation in the creation of the Ram Mandir, adding a distinctive touch to the upcoming consecration ceremony.
