Audi and SAIC Motor have introduced AUDI, a new electric sub-brand exclusively for the Chinese market. This marks a significant step in their collaboration following the announcement in May of the Advanced Digitized Platform, a joint initiative focused on electric vehicle (EV) development. The first model under the AUDI brand, the AUDI E Concept, showcases the future of luxury electric vehicles.
The AUDI E Concept is a dual-motor, 100kWh battery-powered Sportback with impressive specifications, offering a 700km driving range on a full charge and an output of 764 horsepower. This performance positions it as a clear upgrade over Audi’s e-Tron GT, especially in terms of power, range, and technological features. It is designed to cater to the growing demand for premium, eco-friendly EVs in China, a market with increasingly sophisticated automotive preferences.
The AUDI E Concept incorporates advanced features, such as ultra-fast charging, a minimalist yet eco-friendly interior, and a 4K curved display that takes center stage in the cabin. Notably, the car integrates innovative tech elements, including smartphone storage for seamless connectivity, digital side mirrors for improved aerodynamics and safety, and the AUDI Control touch system for intuitive vehicle management.
With this new venture, Audi aims to meet the specific needs and tastes of Chinese customers, focusing on high-performance EVs with cutting-edge features. The introduction of AUDI signals the brand’s commitment to expanding its presence in China’s rapidly evolving EV market, offering a luxury experience built on sustainable technology and digital innovation.
