Colombian singer Camilo has joined forces with Punjabi actor-musician Diljit Dosanjh for a vibrant new song called “Palpita,” as part of the second season of Coca-Cola’s global music campaign, Coke Studio.
This lively track showcases Camilo singing in Spanish and Dosanjh performing in Punjabi. The song was officially released on a Thursday, creating a fusion of Latin and Punjabi musical flavors.
Camilo, celebrated for his chart-toppers like “Tutu,” “Vida de Rico,” and “Índigo,” expressed his deep appreciation for Indian culture and traditions on Instagram. He shared his thoughts on the collaboration, stating, “Working with Diljit in the studio was an invaluable learning experience because I had the chance to truly witness and feel his immense heart and the richness of his melodies. This song fills me with pride, not only for what it means in my career but for the cultural bridge we are building between our countries.”
In another Instagram post, Camilo elaborated further on the significance of their new song, saying, “Two continents pulsating to the rhythm of this song. When Diljit began singing into the microphone in front of me, I was in awe! WOW! It was the best experience ever! Hope to see you soon in India. Thanks @cocacola for making this collaboration possible.”
Meanwhile, Diljit Dosanjh, who was last seen in the Punjabi-language comedy film “Jodi” and is eagerly anticipating the release of Imtiaz Ali’s musical biographical film on the late Punjabi singer-songwriter Amar Singh Chamkila, is keeping his fans excited. He recently teased his upcoming album titled “Hello Ghost,” scheduled for release in September, as per his Instagram post.
