Renato Viola is credited with creating the world’s most costly pizza, Louis XIII. The pizza was originally designed for two people and was only 20 centimetres in diameter. It took up to 72 hours for the dough to rise and needed to rest for a long period before being baked. It contains three types of caviar: Oscietra Royal Prestige, Kaspia Oscietra Royal Classic from the Iranian coast, and Kaspia Beluga. Aside from the caviar, the pizza also includes a very pricey lobster delivered from Norway, as well as seven different types of cheese. The Louis XIII pizza, which may cost up to ₹9,80,000, is served in Salerno, Italy.

Da Hong Pao tea dates back to the Ming Dynasty and is one of the most expensive black teas on the market. The Frrrozen Haute Chocolate is touted to be the world’s most expensive dessert at $25,000 (Rs 19,53,187). NYC’s Serendipity 3 restaurant is where you can try it out.
As per the official Guinness website, the sundae is made with a blend of 28 cocoas, including 14 of the world’s most expensive. The dish is topped with five grams of edible 23-karat gold and the goblet it is served in is also lined with edible gold and one karat of white diamonds. The dessert is served with both a golden as well as a diamond spoon which can be taken home.
4. Gold-Plated Dosa- ₹1,000
The dosa here is laced with 24 karats of pure edible gold, according to multiple reports. Apart from the golden coating, fried cashew nuts, almonds, and pure ghee is used to make this unique and expensive dosa. This special dosa is prepared only after they are ordered by customers and according to reports around 6 to 8 dosas are sold out by the restaurant owner on an average per day.
5. Quintessential Grilled Cheese Sandwich-₹17,500
This grilled cheese sandwich is a limited-edition cuisine item sold at New York’s Serendipity 3 restaurant. The sandwich, which costs $214, is made with thick slices of rare Caciocavallo Podolico Cheese from Italy and features 23-karat edible gold on the edges.
