The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is currently conducting raids at more than 40 locations in Karnataka and Maharashtra as part of an investigation into an ISIS terror conspiracy, according to ANI. The NIA has targeted a total of 44 locations, including one in Karnataka, two in Pune, 31 in Thane Rural, nine in Thane city, and one in Bhayandar. In Pune, Maharashtra, the NIA has already arrested 13 individuals in connection with the ISIS terror conspiracy case. The raids and arrests are linked to a group influenced by extremist ideologies from terrorist organizations like Al-Qaeda and ISIS. This group aimed to recruit youth and promote violent jihad with the goal of establishing Islamic rule in India. The operation is a collaborative effort involving the NIA, Maharashtra Police, and Karnataka Police.
