While romantic proposal videos have taken over the internet because of how heartwarming they are, one couple’s widely shared proposal at Kedarnath temple stirred completely different emotions. After this occurrence, the couple is said to have convinced temple officials to take significant action.
After a woman in Uttarakhand proposed to her partner in a widely shared video, there was an uproar on social media. In a popular video, a YouTuber woman is seen strolling close to the Kedarnath temple with her boyfriend.
To everyone’s amazement, she gets down on one knee and asks him to marry her by giving him a ring. People on the street were astounded, and several even videotaped the touching scene on their phones.
Such heartwarming videos are now frequently praised and welcomed. But this time, the roles have been reversed, and the temple officials have taken notice of this viral video.
The temple priests have responded by voicing their disapproval. They said that such videos have an adverse impact on the sacred site’s religious holiness.
The temple committee has asked the police to take appropriate action against those responsible for creating such recordings after taking the situation seriously.
After the viral video of the girl proposing to her boyfriend, devotees are now being asked to turn off their mobile phones before entering the temple area. However, sources indicate that plans are underway to provide storage facilities for mobile phones.
The facilities will most likely be available outside the temple premises, in the near future.
This is not the only such incident, in the later days of June, a video of a woman showering money inside the temple also went viral. The white saree-clad woman was recorded showering money on a shiva linga.
The incident happened in the main premises of the temple where videography and photography are banned. Strict action was demanded and taken against the woman.
The temple officials urged the responsible authorities to take strict action and create precautions to avoid such acts.
