Popular YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, renowned for his engaging content on channels like Beer Biceps, experienced a devastating cyberattack on Wednesday night. Both of his prominent YouTube channels were hacked, leading to a complete renaming and eventual deletion of the content, causing shockwaves among his 12 million subscribers.
The hackers took control of Allahbadia’s channels, changing the name of his main channel to “Tesla” and renaming his personal channel to “@Tesla.event.trump_2024.” In a brazen move, they removed all of his original content, which included interviews and podcasts, and replaced it with outdated streams featuring notable figures like Elon Musk and Donald Trump. This alteration not only stripped away Allahbadia’s hard work but also misled his audience with content that had no connection to his brand.
Ranveer Allahbadia began his YouTube career at the age of 22, and over the years, he has cultivated a diverse portfolio of seven YouTube channels, attracting a massive following and establishing himself as a key influencer in the digital space. The abrupt disappearance of his channels has left fans and followers bewildered.
While Allahbadia has yet to release a formal statement regarding the incident, he acknowledged the cyberattack through his Instagram stories, referring to it as the “Death of Beer Biceps,” which reflects the emotional toll of losing a significant part of his creative identity.
This incident marks a troubling trend in digital security, occurring shortly after the hacking of India’s Supreme Court YouTube channel, raising concerns about the safety of prominent figures and institutions online. The cyberattack not only disrupts content creation but also emphasizes the importance of robust cybersecurity measures in today’s digital landscape.
