Following the release of “Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva,” anticipation for the second part has been high. Speculations surrounded Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone taking on the roles of Dev and Amrita, Ranbir Kapoor’s parents. The latest report confirms Ranveer Singh’s finalization for the role of Dev in Ayan Mukerji’s directorial. The scripting for the second part is underway, and filming is expected to commence in 2025. Ayan Mukerji is currently occupied with “War 2,” and Ranveer Singh is set to begin shooting for “Baiju Bawra” this year. There’s uncertainty about when “Brahmastra 2” will start filming.
If all goes well, Ranveer Singh will likely shoot for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Baiju Bawra” in mid-2024. While the original plan was to start shooting for “Brahmastra 2” in early 2025, it’s now suggested that “Don 3” will also begin around the same time. If confirmed, this would mark the first collaboration of Bollywood’s power couples, Ranbir-Alia and Deepika-Ranveer, in a film.
Earlier this year, Ayan Mukerji mentioned that the second and third parts of the film would be made together, with the second part scheduled for release in 2026. Titled “Brahmastra Part One: Shiva,” the first film, a fantasy adventure epic, was released in 2022. The story revolves around Shiva (Ranbir Kapoor), a deejay seeking the origins of his special powers, alongside Isha (Alia Bhatt), the woman he falls in love with. The star-studded cast includes Amitabh Bachchan, with special appearances by Shah Rukh Khan and Nagarjuna. Produced by Star Studios and Dharma Productions, the film captivated audiences with its grand scale and mystical narrative.
