The Indian embassy in Israel has urged Indian citizens to remain vigilant and adhere strictly to safety protocols following Iran’s ballistic missile attacks on Israel. The embassy’s advisory comes amid escalating tensions, with Iran launching a series of missile strikes on Tuesday, raising fears of an all-out war. Indian residents in Israel have shared their concerns and experiences, with many expressing deep anxiety over the deteriorating situation.
Several Indian nationals shared videos showing Israeli defense systems intercepting incoming missiles. Roychowdhary, an Indian resident, recalled a terrifying incident, saying, “A bomb dropped barely 100 meters from a friend’s house. I could have been there.” He added that the current threat levels surpass those experienced during Israel’s war with Hamas in October of the previous year.
A caregiver from Telangana also voiced concerns, stating, “The situation is tough. We have never seen anything as threatening as this.” He shared footage of missiles hitting buildings in Tel Aviv, further underscoring the precariousness of the situation.
Authorities in Israel have instructed citizens, including Indian nationals, to evacuate to the nearest bomb shelters. Videos shared by Indian citizens depict scenes of residents rushing to safety rooms. One Indian citizen living in Tel Aviv said, “We are in the safety room now. No need to worry, but when the siren sounds, you must enter immediately.”
With tensions continuing to rise, and Israel threatening retaliatory action, the Indian embassy has reiterated its call for citizens to remain alert and follow local safety guidelines. The embassy has also advised Indian nationals to stay in touch with local authorities and seek help if necessary, as the region remains on high alert for further attacks.
